Greek music ensemble
Across time.
Early and contemporary music, historically informed.

The ensemble
Cappella Atenea is a music ensemble founded by graduates of Higher Music Academies and Universities in Greece and abroad. Its goal is to bring early and contemporary music closer together through historically informed performance.
Its programmes set music written centuries apart side by side: Mozart and Bartók with a contemporary Greek work by Thanos Margetis; Telemann’s moral cantatas with Vivaldi; Beethoven and Brahms beside Messiaen, Britten, Kalomiris and Samaras.
